But representation of any kind is always FIRST about what it inspires in people, before anything else and that’s why it’s so important.

Sometimes all people need is to see someone open the door and that’s all the the courage they need to want to walk through it too.

So allow peoples excitement over Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s nomination; you can get into her politics later, but for now this moment will forever remain historic because of what it will inspire in people, especially women.

Because she just maybe able to walk through a door many other courageous women OPENED(read edit below) but couldn’t make it through.*

And once the door is left wide open, we may perhaps get to a point when your gender, race, religion etc aren’t prerequisites for any position because the field will be leveled.

Edit: for people who rush to comment before comprehending, and don’t seem to understand that when I state several women who OPENED this DOOR it’s to acknowledge all the women before her who either stood for President, Vice, or even entered politics.

Gosh take your time and READ and stop rushing to comment.
