Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang’s nomination ; and the importance of Representation.

Thoughts on my mind….

It was for the simple FACT that a BLACK MAN with African roots was now the president of one of greatest nations in the world.

When Barak Obama was announced as president, it wasn’t his credentials or policies that made waves.

When Meghan Markle became the Duchess of Sussex it made waves because she became the first BLACK royal in British history( although some historians have argued otherwise).

It was the same for Hilary Clinton when she won the nomination for the Democratic Party, even though she didn’t win, her nomination still made history

Now their politics, character etc is of course debatable and that’s fine.
